You need a new transmission & t-case plus motor mount & wiring to swap in a 4.0 & the same for the V-8. You can run a AX-15 manual or a 4 speed auto. If you're going to run a manual then a Dodge Ram or Dakota truck could be used as a donor also. I wanted it to look as factory as I could. 1998 5.9 Magnum upgraded AX15 from Novak Conversions. Takes alot of research and patience, but well worth it in the end. Drool city. I'll agree the LS engine can be a good engine but with the ease of the Dodge magnum V-8 swap unless you have a newer TJ I'd still go with it. With a little bit of engine work you can be making 300HP/Torque. Plus I like being different.
