WebFeb 3, 2024 · When you decommission the DFS Namespace server without properly transferring the namespaces to a new server or when the server hosting DFS Namespaces goes down and you are unable to resurrect it, you may end up with orphaned namespaces in your Active Directory environment and you need to get rid of them to re-use those names. WebI have to remove one DFS namespace server from a number of domain-based DFS roots. Is there any way to do this using a script either batch or powershell? I have not found anything about it. Powershell has some commandlets but these never touch the namespace servers, only the roots or targets. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Robert
